Some people blame the individual but in reality poverty is part of our culture.

How is creating a dependency on handouts going to help?

Wealth is created through productivity and providing valuable goods and services, not through income redistribution.

Economic freedom leads to opportunity. Opportunity is the key pathway out of poverty. Keeping people comfortably poor leads to chronic poverty.

It's amazing how people have been brainwashed and not able to grasp the total picture because of their partisanship and lack of intellect.

Has the Republicans fetish of giving tax cuts to corporations and the wealthy and slashing social programs fixed the issue?

Every Republican administration going back to at least Reagan has added to the national Deficit.

Partisanship, lack of intellect, and brainwashing are certainly problems.

Johnson’s Great Society was designed to end poverty. By creating dependency on government, it failed. People lacking intellect conveniently forget that fact.

Socialism has failed consistently throughout history. Yet the Democrats embrace socialism in the US because partisanship demands they buy votes with free stuff using the earnings of other people. They put party above the nation. Too often Republicans do the same thing.

Mamdani (D-NY) lectures us from George Washington’s desk (ironically sitting on the wrong side) attempting to make tyranny sound like empathy. He attempts to brainwash the gullible into thinking collectivism is community, when in truth it is the erasure of the individual... the very soul of American liberty.

As an independent, I reject partisanship, brainwashing, and a lack of intellect. I embrace truth, logic, and reason.

I do support Republican efforts to expose and reduce fraud in government. You aren’t arguing that the fraud uncovered in Minnesota is isolated or contributes to “fixing the issue”, are you?

The top 1% of earners pay approximately 40.4% of all federal individual income taxes, while the top 10% pay about 72%. In contrast, the bottom 50% of taxpayers pay around 3% of federal income taxes.

Oh, sure you can confiscate more of the wealth creators’ earnings, but they will just move to another state, just like New Jersey businesses (and jobs) are heading to Texas as we speak. How does that benefit local economies in New Jersey?

You think you are superior by virtue of being a male. You have lived your life with a bias against women. Part of your behavior can be explained by the era you grew up in where women were expected to cook, clean, and take care of their husband. Well, in case you haven’t figured it out, that is not me. And, no, I am not suggesting socialists who identify as Democrats are Nazis. Far from it.

But I do believe there is not much difference between socialism and communism, except in the means of establishing it. Communism proposes to enslave people by force; socialism by vote. They both clash with our founding principles. But in reality the difference can be described as the similar nuance between murder and suicide.
