Just to clarify about SpaceX and pension funds

When I was employed I had an annuity that I put a % of my hourly pay into it. I had no say how it was invested and I couldn’t withdraw it till I was 591/2 years old. So why wouldn’t you think the goverment wouldn’t convince them to investing in SpaceX

Annuities are a contract-based insurance product.

You gave up control of your money in exchange for an insurance company accepting your long term risk.

It no longer became your money when you decided to purchase the product.

I really never liked it because I had no say on how the money was invested . I also didn’t like it because you couldn’t get any of it out till you were 591/2 years old.
I also was really pissed when I could get at it I was taxed twice on it. My tax accountant told me it was legal for me to be taxed on it twice . I. Think because when I put the money in the annuity I didn’t pay tax on that money and i didnt pay taxes on the interest it made over the years.

Looks like you needed money before age 59-1/2.
