I just did after all these years, as I have the time whilst trying to get myself past the effects of this heart-work. Interesting history to it.
Feeling alright in general, but often really tired yet especially in the mornings. I suspect a meds adjustment is in order, especially as I'm taking a blood-pressure med which I suspect is part of the textbook array even though I've no blood-pressure issue now and never have.
I somehow had it in my mind I would be feeling a great improvement immediately after opening this up, but so far not so much, if I'm honest.
I see the cardio-quack this morning for follow-up and what I assume is the first of a series of lectures on bean-curd and bicycles.
It's hilarious how many phone-calls and texts I'm getting from the various tentacles of the health industry complex wanting in on the exchequer now that I'm on the cardio roles. The pharm center has now texted me on several numbers to set up an auto-refill for all my chem needs. Funniest of the bunch is the so-called "primary care physician", the guy you see when you have the sniffles and he rolls pills at you and goes home each night with a clean labcoat.
His office called wanting to schedule a "follow up" appointment, not that he was even involved in this exercise. They all smell money and blood. Grin!
I've not returned his office' call, but wonder which tack I should take. It's either, "Why? What can he do for me at his level at this point." or my tendency is to go with, "Sure. I'm currently making appointments six weeks out, have him arrive a half-hour early as there will be forms to fill in, and make sure he brings a photo ID and payment at the time of his appointment."
Its like a Hydra; nine heads outstretched in friendship and love speaking in great soothing tones to welcome me into the fold, whilst the tenth is snaking into my purse, my accounts, my insurance, Social Security...
Fred, in seriousness, if you end up going down this avenue of cath and angioplasty/stents, It's not a rocky road really. They have this down pretty elegantly.
