A few years ago I relapsed again and argued with the quack that all this should be over now, however the answer she gave me was not only correct in my case but had nothing to do with my spine and I'm wondering if the same applies to you?
In simple terms she told a common cause of a sciatica flare up in many men is something she termed "wallet in back pocket syndrome."
I obviously asked her to elucidate and she told me that many men who keep in their back pocket something like a wallet and spend a lot of time sat on their arse can after a period cause the buttock muscle to inflame. I said what does that have to do with the sciatic nerve and she said the sciatic nerve doesn't run over the buttock muscle but actually through it and when said muscle becomes inflamed it presses on the sciatic nerve causing the usual symptoms but also causing the patient to believe that the gubbins of the back are fault when in fact it's an inflamed buttock muscle causing all the grief.
Just a thought.
