Of course this brings up what used to be my favourite windmill to tilt, the modern mis-use of "organic". It grates on me as an engineer.
Just today an article in our local paper where some young couple bought a coffee shop and are touting the coffee beans they use as "fair-trade and organic". I suppose that means my supermarket canned stuff is inorganic by inference, but no it isn't. It is derived from living material and most certainly contains carbon.
Its a battle I lost long ago but I refuse to concede as a matter of principle.
I won't get into the absolute lying and cheating passed on to the consumer that is the current perversion of the fair-trade movement...
