A similar thing is happening over here.
TV programs requiring an "experts" commentary now have a plethora of very young females who tick all the right PC boxes ie race, preferred gender and pronouns yadda yadda and usually with exotic sounding names.
Show a program about tv comedy from the 60's-70's and what do we get?
A bunch of teenage new wave comediennes pontificating about the subject matter in great depth in the manner of someone who lived through the period therefore the possessor of some great wisdom, when the subject in question was 40-50 years before they become their parent drunken Friday night regret!
Another such tv example is one concerning great engineering mistakes, be it construction or engineering in general.
The "experts" wheeled out are, you guessed it, a bunch of teenage female box tickers who aren't old enough to shave let alone lecture us on how re-bar can rust inside its concrete over coat leading to structural failure.
A final one being something I used to watch after one too many sherbets, is a program called "Fights Camera Action."
The basic premise is that of showing video captured from all around the globe showing drunks, morons and all the other usual suspects having punch ups, rages etc.
Nor exactly high brow but a bit laugh out loud after a lousy day and too many sherries, a bit of fun if you will.
In the early incarnation of the program all you got was action punctuated by the odd explanatory comment as to what the situation was.
Then the great lord of equal opportunities waved his/her/its mighty cudgel and we are now saddled with a young female "phycologist" whose name I can't even write when shown let alone pronounce, constantly interrupting proceedings with some great insight onto what is taking place.
Punch thrown, quick cutaway, "Well the reason behind this persons aggression is...."
SHUT THE FECK UP WOMAN WE JUST WANT TO SEE THE FAT DRUNK SOCK HIS BROTHER IN THE KISSER!"
A 10 ten second out of context clip gives you some wonderous insight, how!?
Ahh well soon be Guinness time! ( laughs )
