If you recall I posted some pictures of the Crusader sports version I restored with my brother.
Interesting to see he had the optional 5 speed gear cluster fitted. They could either be factory fitted or done by yourself which was quite a simple job as the construction of the engine cases. were fashioned for it to be so.
They were a bit of a dog in practice to use with false neutrals all over the box and sometimes requiring re-adjustment after as little as 30 miles.
One unusual aspect of the Crusader was its piston which caused some seizing problems on pre production machines. The solution was to make it slightly oval in construction which cured the problem completely.
