Those are my words and there are times when we behave like one. Still in all, and in all the places I've lived, humanity, society, and cultures struggle with these things.

In my living in many parts of the world, I've learned that those struggles are rooted in very different social circumstances and different moral and ethical strictures. Mix 'em up and social priorities vary in importance.

Accepting the differences is a huge step towards understanding another country, another culture, another people.

Bringing this whole (interesting and very civilised) thread back around to the beginning in a great sloppy loop, those who play on those differences for their own gain (not only do they really get up my nose because of that experience) have to expect violence and indeed assume some responsibility for what they create.

It is an evil.
