I have a more personal interest in this than you might know. I have a good friend who took this far less seriously than you. Now I'm watching him lose his feet bit by bit, and be alert albeit bedridden for months at a time every time a foot starts blistering up, all because of an it-won't-happen-to-me-today cavalier attitude.

It's a bit hard for his friends to watch, certainly.
