No flame war on this end!

I find Briggs and Stratton only reliable for light duties like push-type mowers and precious little else. In that application, their main competition were Tecumseh and they were absolutely hateful; made B&S look good.

When you went up a bit into engines that ran generators, pumps, lawn and garden tractors, my favourite over here were Kohler. Even with the offerings from Honda (my standby generator for the house is Honda powered) I won't turn down a Kohler.
