Lately I've been working on these. First, an old Lindberg kit of a Mitsubishi Betty:

Both are at the stage when we must stop and await the decals before finishing them up.
And while we wait I turned my hand to the repair of one of the icons of Lionel's Postwar period, the Helicopter Car.
This is a toy you could never make today; wind up the spring loaded spool the helo sits upon, then park it over one of the electrically-controlled triggering track-sections and the spring is released, shooting the helicopter god knows where and at a pretty stunning clip; poke those little eyeballs out with that rotor!
How ever did we survive the toys of our youths? GRIN!
