Still, you lot have some heavy lifting to do before you get to the depths of the American skillset.
I've driven in many parts of the world in my life, and I am firmly convinced the Americans are the worst in the world, in my experience anyway. Even in India, they know there really are no rules but they just adapt to the situation whatever it might be, are in the main unfailingly polite. Even in mayhem there is a predictability.
The Americans are unique. They are absolutely convinced they are good and skilled drivers, a superiority they don't deserve in the slightest. I don't believe one in 100 could get a license in Britain or Continental Europe. Combine that arrogance with a complete lack of training (parallel parking isn't even required in most states, and backing with mirrors is an unknown skillset, for example), never having been taught situational awareness (so many believe the big shiny thing on the windscreen is there to check their make-up), a limitless sense of entitlement and an anger unmatched anywhere, and you get the most unpredictable, volatile, and dangerous situation.
Hands down, worst in the world; even the Parisians belting round the Place de L'Étoile got nuthin' on 'em.
