As an aside, I might have things confused a bit, but I remember the Austin Ambassador to be a car of the 1980s, rather a wedge-shaped thing. A family saloon that stood out to me visually for having styling touches very reminiscent of some of the late AMC stuff in America.

I seem to remember the Hindustans as very reminiscent of an oversized Moggie or perhaps an Oxford. Certainly every taxi I saw was of that appearance anyway, or are we on about two completely different things?
