Today was piecing the fresh air end of the inlet system back together as it should have been, new air filter, and setting up the headlights properly.
As I was cranking away at the off-side headlamp adjuster, my hand suddenly felt warm.
A new radiator has been on the list, for we knew it was leaking somewhere. Now I know where. Not any great quantity, but it turns out the trajectory is messy enough to move the job to the front of the queue, so Monday is radiator day.
While we're there we'll check the pump for the windscreen washer, a system I tested today and found unresponsive. The pump is 'way down deep at the bottom in front the nearside wheelwell, so the opportunity is there whilst the radiator is out.
I admit having fun, learning a lot about more modern cars than I've been used to and, although this all sounds like a faff, I'm still comfortably under budget and far cheaper than buying something off the forecourt.
When I was checking in with my partner in crime on this project, ordering up a radiator, and scheduling time on his lift, he was doing an annual inspection on an Audi. One of the shop cats was stretched out across the moonroof, so...
