Francis Bourgeois has an engineering degree, worked at Rolls Royce, and became famous for his trainspotting videos on TikTok. I very much enjoy this unique mix of adult knowledge and mechanical enthusiasm coupled to an innocent love of the machinery. He does my heart good.
He not only loves railways but is equally a car enthusiast. He is one of the new presenters on Amazon's "Grand Tour", the passing of the torch from the generation of May, Clarkson, and Hammond to the generation of Bourgeois and his two cohorts from Canada who themselves came from making automotive internet content, this time on Youtube.
I've watched the new series of Grand Tour and I can truthfully say I enjoyed it immensely and have high hopes for the new generation.
Mike and I had a chat on the phone today and I mentioned Bourgeois' vids as a nice place to be, so linked one of them below. Hopefully the rest of you enjoy it, too, and might even explore the rest of his stuff on his channel.
If you have access to Amazon, give the Grand Tour relaunch a look. If not, but cars and lightheartedness appeal, the other two guys' channel can be found searching Youtube for "Throttlehouse".
