Well bugger me with a fish-fork! I tracked it from Pennsylvania all the way to the local UPS depot five miles away from myself and it only took TWO DAYS!! plus NO IMPORT TAX!!
GO YANKS!!
The local tracker told me it would be delivered same day they got it YAY me!
NOPE.
Cancelled delivery, will deliver following day. Hmmmm.
Following day tracker tells me that it was put into my hands that afternoon.
NOPE.
Short story long is that after much too and fro UPS admit it went to the wrong address but data protection means they cannot reveal said address. Not only that as far as they were concerned it was considered delivered albeit incorrectly and I would need to get a refund from Amazon as it was case closed, again as far as they were concerned!
So some Herbert has received my goods which I'm not allowed to go seek and collect, UPS couldn't care less and I have to settle for an Amazon refund whilst meanwhile Herbert is reselling my goods on eBay!
Thanks heavens for good Samaritans.
Later that evening I get a knock on the door from a nice young lady asking "are you Fred?"
"Do I owe you money?" I repost.
As you may have now gathered this young female bastion of honesty had turned up with my parcel, she refused any thought of the reward I proffered, wished me well and departed leaving me with a slightly restored faith in my fellow man/woman.
So as for UPS?
YANKS 1 BRITS 0 !!!
(Fred now a converted Yankaphile (EH?!) walks off with hand on chest singing..."Say can you see etc...)
"More consumer news from Fred later, now here's Mitch with the weather..."
