I was just watching 'Matter of Fact' with Carla Hayden on, who was the first woman and first black person to serve as the librarian of Congress, appointed in 2016. She was recently fired by Trump with no reason given.
I think we have come a long way since the old days, at least MOST of us have... but racism and bigotry still rears its ugly head, even if not as overtly as in times past. With this current administration, it's even overt at times.
