There's simply no reason that Conway was so bullheaded about this. It was a kids' mural, not really a "store sign". The kids used the bakery style products in an imaginative way to create the mountain region Conway is in. It's a lovely area and the mural is just too cool to destroy.

So, I'm glad the bakery won this battle because it was never intended as a store sign, but as an imaginative mural that fit both the background scenery and the building where it was painted.
