At the same time I think the author struggles to find a balance like most of us really. We will not agree on every point of contention but we fail to look and find the common ground most people will see as reasonable in today's social climate.
Education is not a concrete term. Intelligence is also a debatable trait and virtue. Learning has a whole other level of context. It usually begins with a question.
If everyone were only homeschooled we would likely be stone age forever. Collecting knowledge is magnified through cooperative and curious interaction with others outside our bubbles.
Homeschooling in USA is regulated by each state btw.
Always question authority! It holds it accountable.
