I guess if a kid is somehow prone to be emotionally attacked by a computer character chatbot, and take it to heart, you can say the purveyors of such a product are culpable.

It seems to me, with the case not being dismissed, there will be plenty of groundwork laid out by both sides to start making some progress in this scenario. There are likely to be more of a similar nature. Particularly if this one is successful.

My main point in posting this was to show what a Pandora's box this AI stuff could turn into.
