Like the woman who wrote that book about her father being seduced by the Right, then dropping out of it after he no longer listened to right-wing radio (https://www.sourcebooks.com/non-fiction/9781728239590-the-brainwashing-of-my-dad-tp.html) I'm of the opinion that most of the nation could get over Trumpism.
