2018 hospitalization for nearly 5 months during pregnancy for a Crohn's caused hole in her intestines that triggered peritonitis and near fatal sepsis, then emergency preterm delivery of Evelyn, removal of most of Jaimelynn's ileum, then resection of small and large intestines came to over $2 million $$$!! Not including almost 2 months in neonatal ICU for Evelyn or in home rehab for J after her surgery and nurse visits to monitor her feeding tube while intestines healed. Those added a sh*t ton more costs!

Thankfully, her federal BC/BS covered all but around $12,000 of the bills and Brigham & Women's waived all but about $500.

Can you imagine not having insurance? Or bad insurance? She would have died !! So would have Evelyn !!

Health insurance is WICKED EXPENSIVE, but not having it can kill you!

Medicare (or similar) for ALL!! Let the for profit insurers sell extra coverage policies for those who want more, but give ALL Americans a decent Medicare plan paid for with taxes.

We can argue over how to raise that tax money but NOT about providing health care to all!
