Was in second grade at the time. I remember sitting in class and someone came in and whispered something in my teacher's ear. She immediately became sad - was easy for even a second grader to see.

We were dismissed early that day.

Still etched in my memory - along with the Cuban Missile crisis and the drills we had in school.

I look at FDR, Kennedy and other Presidents and then at where we are now and can't believe it still. What we have lost!! And it very well could be gone forever.
