and still didn't learn much about Native American tribes during the Revolutionary War. Only a little about the Mohawk, Pawtucket, Wampanoag, and the Massachusetts tribes pre-revolution.

A sign of the times perhaps? Schools are more enlightened now.

Speaking of schools, what I now find odd after comparing notes with folks raised outside of MA, NH, CT, VT is that we were taught that Benedict Arnold was a traitor to the revolution but a patriot to King George of England. While George Washinton was the opposite. IOW, it all depended on your POV. I think that was pretty enlightened thinking. So why not for Native Americans?
