Halligan is attractive and fits HIS criteria of the "best people" (someone who looks great on TV) and is a willing chump, so he chose her. Except that she has ZERO qualifications outside of a freshly minted law degree and a willingness to do anything asked of her.

It is NO SURPRISE that she mucked it up SO SOUNDLY that dismissal was inevitable!

That other dimwitted "legal champion" he put in place as AG, (Pam Bondi) actually tried to fix it by claiming she was retroactively assigning Halligan to be a "special prosecutor". Her attempt to render the dismissal of indictment as invalid failed spectacularly! IOW, it is illegal and would never stand up in court, proving that she is almost as incompetent as Halligan.
