Democrats definitely need to woo a few Republicans on all matters, but that's a politics thing. Call your representatives and push for cooperation.

A demonstration/strike will be chided as "paid actors," and I am not really sure they're making an impact. However, it gives the everyday guy a way of raising their voice.
