After the first surgery a week earlier failed to fix the problem. Both times had 2 large dura mater tears afterwards that were leaking CSF (Cerebrospinal fluid leak). So much scar tissue and damage to vertebrae that were stuck to my spinal cord. Releasing them tore the dura mater covering of my spinal cord. Couldn't be avoided but 48 hours flat in bed to allow the blood patches to heal the dura each time was NOT fun!

First surgery was December 2nd. Second one December 10th. Two nerves inadvertently injured while being moved out of the way to get at my spine. Pretty unavoidable with a 9" incision.

I spent significant time in hospital, the a SNF for 2 weeks, then 10 days in acute rehab. Just got home a week ago. Still doing daily home rehab. Getting so tired of it all.

Starting outpatient water rehab at local hospital in 2 weeks. It is a long haul.
