The irony of these ‘questions,’ these denunciations, suggests that something is still working dimly in his mind. He can take accusations and reverse them on their sources. This no doubt seems clever to the peasant class.

But why AREN’T people doing anything? Americans seem hypnotized by our own history, by our own government, by the notion that something will be done, the notion that someone is in charge.

I think we’ve only just recently started to realize that a loony is in charge, and other loonies aiding and abetting him. The fall elections are still most people’s source of solace, and if Trump makes the mistake of trying to hijack them, it will tip us over the brink into civil war.
