Made me jittery. I basically only smoked when we went to bars, and the alcohol balanced out the nicotine. In my case, not a problem. Weed? That was different. I went to college in the '70s, dude! lol

The 'drink 'em under the table' thing is, I read in an article once, a biological response some have to alcohol. Your body doesn't process alcohol correctly. Most people (me!) would throw up, but some have a genetic quirk that lets the alcohol go on through until you pass out. That seems cool, until it leads to alcoholism and liver destruction later on.
