I always thought things might turn out like Lord of the Flies if a bunch of kids were stranded in real life. I'm glad that none became poor "piggy" and that they cared for the injured boy.

Then again, these boys were older than the characters in the book and already had a taste of responsibility in their lives. They also began as friends and there were far fewer of them.

It is hard to guess what might really happen with a group like the younger characters in LotF in real life. It sounded like a realistic scenario given how cruel children can be on the playground, never mind with zero rules or guidance.
