In Ohio we had the Tafts out of Cincy (oddly, not mentioned) who got worse and more mediocre in every succeeding one. Ol' President Taft was the first Republican to REALLY sell out bigtime to the banks (hello, Great depression!), the next son, Senator Robert Taft in the '30s was an early 'America Firster' who finally supported WWII, and his son, Governor Taft was a wimpy, smiling nitwit.
