Getting Ready To Leave Posted by Amadeus on June 17, 2025, 5:12 pm ADMIN Our house is on the market. Selling it is the last thing we can do to get ready. We are waiting on permits, but we can't do anything to speed that along. Day after day, I see reason after reason piling up to get out. I'm old. Too old for all this. Amadeus

House should sell in July. If it sells in June, we already set it up so that we can stay thru July. As soon as permits come in, we will put an offer in on a place in our target zone. We are starting to review places with a realtor there already. The worst case scenario would be that everything comes through, but we can't sell the house. We need the money from the house to be able to buy. Fingers crossed. We are still packing. Amadeus

We went through all that a few times. The last time was the hardest since we had to move ourselves and finance the new house before the old one sold. Don’t worry… it will sell! People still need housing, and there always seems to be a shortage. Hopefully everything will fall into place, but even if it doesn’t all go smoothly, it will in the end!

My husband was born in Canada so maybe could have duel citizenship... but we are getting too old at this point. Somebody has to stay and fight the fascists anyway. Otherwise no place is safe.
