Valued Poster I'm afraid I'm not going to be feeling very charitable when this bill mostly hurts the very people who voted this liar/fraud/felon into office knowing full well what he was and is. They knew he was a snake when they took him in, but it made them feel good to lash out at women, blacks, gays, trans, furriners... anyone they wanted to look down on or see as less deserving. Now they will get what they deserve. Poetic justice.

All others must reduce services" The unpleasant parts of the bill will probably not go into effect until after the midterms or some even after trump's term is over. That's how they work it, so they can blame the dems for any ill effects that kick in if/when they get elected... and meanwhile, dt keeps blaming the previous admin for any ill effects people might feel now, while also selling the US as the "hottest country" right now ever in the history of the world, yada yada... And they expect people to buy all that garbage. Sat on the front porch to watch the fireworks show tonight. They do it a day ahead of time now. Anyway, at the end I could hear one of the neighbors send out a rather feeble "woooo"... then a pause and another "woooo" That was it. Definitely not nearly as many fireworks going on from the local yahoos this year. Seems more like a funeral than a birthday celebration. Sad.

Looks like we lost a bunch of health care and medical deductions. Many were capped. Our state and local tax deductions were also capped. I never liked the Calvinist notion that God 'rewards' his chosen with material wealth in this world...which leads to the perception that if you're poor, it's because you deserve to be. That's obnoxious victim-blaming. Sadly it's at the heart (so to speak) of Republicanism. -greenman
