I'd be interested in hearing the board's discussion on this subject. Why is this the case? At least in your opinion. Or is it the case in your opinion? Does it just maybe seem that way?

I have recently informed my supervisor that I intend to retire at the end of December. It's a huge milestone for me, as I've worked almost continuously since I was 16 years old, with usually less than a week off for both vacation and time between jobs. Even after discharge from the military and graduating from college, I was always back at full-time work in less than a week. I have always had additional work outside my regular job as well. I intend to do more volunteer and charity work in retirement. I will probably still do some regular IT work, as I have a friend with an IT business that utilizes me now for bigger projects. He has expressed interest in employing me for about 10 hours a week. Time to turn the page.

Congrats on the new chapter in your book of life. I'm curious about the volunteer and charity work. Is there a specific thing or just general community/neighborhood/church outreach type stuff? Or Political activism? I've helped neighborhood kids with PC skills at B & G Club in my 'hood in the past. Is that something you would consider? I grew up Free Range / Latchkey and I thrived when I was able to attend events aimed at education even if it was an afternoon at the local library or church. I try to give back and invest in my community now. live long and prosper as best you can Jacque

Correlation, causation, bl-blah ba.... "The authors of the study connected the rise of depression with the spread of social media. Want more guns? Easy and Constitutional. Want more tax cuts? Suuuuuure (especially for us rich folks!)! Want tougher policing? We're on it! Want brown people kicked out of the country? Vote for us (we'll pretend to do it wink wink)! Liberals are far more often disappointed. More gun control? We'll try, but the courts say no.. Cuts in defense spending? Lip service only! This state has bases and builds tanks! Immigrants? We'll be bipartisan - and do nothing. Police reform? Sure, we'll get around to that..how about more public housing instead? Healthcare? We'll compromise and give you something. And so on... -greenman

They care more about being in office and power than about America, their constituents, and their (shallow) values. Normally, I believe that liberals are generally pretty happy folks. In the past, when the opposition has been in power, we may not like it, but are always hopeful and work towards electing those who share our viewpoints. Even so, we could always trust that the opposition just saw things differently. NOT THAT THEY WERE EVIL. There is a vast difference between trump and EVERY other POTUS. We are ANGRY, SAD, and DETERMINED to get trump OUT OF OFFICE before he destroys this country. Then go after his accomplices. Not everyone who worked for him, but those who've plotted against democracy.

Don't say Democrats do it too. A handful of democrats attempted it five decades ago, and to stop it, REPUBLICANS spearheaded the Voting Rights Act, that they're now trying to disqualify in court. California is doing it as a one time thing to check Texas, which already is gerrymandered to yield a significant Republican majority, and not satisfied, Assh0le Abbott is carving out five more democrat seats to be filled by gerrymandered republicans at request of the felon WHO CHEATS IN EVERYTING. He cheated on his wives, at his businesses, at golf.... he is a liar, a cheater, and a thief. Republicans know if they put only their ideas up for popular vote by the people, they will lose, big, hard, and bad. So to have a chance to advance their highly unpopular ideas, they resort to gerrymandering, which is a kind of cheating. So lying is a republican policy. So is cheating. That leaves theft. Any idiot can see why the felon thinks that is cheating. He knows more about how to cheat than almost any toddler. He knows how to cry and whine about it too. Time to throw a tantrum at a press conference. Call out the fake news and media. There is also a vast difference between sadness, and anger. My signs say it well. At Saturday's national protest, I was one of several hundred thousand people too close to where the police released tear gas to allegedly calm down and control the crowd. My eyes still burn and water from it. That confimed for me, that I am on the correct side of history in this. I am not sad. I am angry when I need to be, at the right people, at the right time, for the right reasons. You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony
