Stupid health insurance companies! Posted by Sia on September 23, 2025, 12:55 pm Yesterday I got a check for $.50 from Anthem Blue Cross for an overpayment of my premium from SIX YEARS AGO! A FLIPPIN'CHECK FOR 50 CENTS! Not only is that beyond absurd that it was for less than a dollar and that it took them six years to refund it, but they sent it via NEXT DAY UPS with tracking and signature required!! WTF?? Edit to fix stupid typo. GRRR

He ran for office promising to do something about inflation, which wasn't nearly as bad as he said, and in fact Biden policy was lowering, and groceries. In both examples he lied to get votes. Yesterday and today, before the UN, he bragged about how much he lowered grocery prices, reversed inflation, stopped ten wars, and his tariffs brought $17 trillion into the US economy. All lies. The world laughed. We are virtually certain he is one of the hundred men mentioned in the Epstein Files to whom women, and very likely minors were trafficked for sex. If he wasn't in there, he would not care if they were released. He has no remorse. Yesterday I MAAA by acting on grocery prices, which I track and rose by about 6% since he was inaugurated. Valued Poster I have received two checks in the mail, separately, from the federal government (both less than $100) for I do not know what. No explanation whatsoever for what they are for. They look very legit, but I am afraid to cash them for fear that this corrupt administration will turn around and try to accuse me of some wrongdoing for accepting money that I am not entitled to.

ADMIN I doubt I'm the only one who's ever gotten something this dumb given that it's not the first or only time it's happened. A couple of years ago it happened twice with a different insurance company but for a much larger amount both times. What made those so dumb was that I was still a customer, so all they had to do was credit my account for the overage and let me know in my next statement so it was well documented. Instead, they mailed me a check both times, and both times by certified mail. So perhaps even dumber than what Anthem did?

Valued Poster ..but the State of Ohio sent me a check for $.03 back when I first started filing. It wasn't too long before even they figured out that that wasn't cost-effective.. RESIST!
