Roger Rogoff was sworn in as U.S. Attorney in Seattle at 7:40 on Wednesday morning. Fifty-four minutes later he was fired by Trump over email. When a reporter asked him about it, he said: “Greatest hour in my life.”
As reported by Bloomberg Law and confirmed by KOMO News and FOX 13 Seattle, seven federal judges in the Western District of Washington unanimously appointed Rogoff to a job that has sat without a Senate-confirmed occupant for nearly three years.
They did it under a federal statute that lets them fill the seat when the vacancy drags on. Rogoff took the oath. He walked out to a lobby to wait for a meeting with the outgoing interim.
That is where the email found him. Subject line: “A Message From the President.”
Read what it says. “The President of the United States has directed that I inform you that, pursuant to his authority, you are hereby removed from the office of the United States Attorney.”
No call. No conversation. No one asked him a single question about how he intended to do the job. The White House did not even wait for the appointment to become public. It fired him before most of Seattle knew he had the job.
Then Todd Blanche, Trump’s former personal defense lawyer and now the acting Attorney General, announced it on X like a scoreboard update. “Roger Rogoff has been fired by the President.”
Consider who they threw away in under an hour.
Rogoff spent 14 years as a King County prosecutor handling sexual assault and domestic violence cases. Six years as a federal prosecutor working violent crime, gangs, and guns. Seven years as a Superior Court judge.
Then he ran Washington’s first-in-the-nation office created to independently investigate police killings, so cops would stop investigating themselves. Senator Patty Murray called him eminently qualified. Nobody has said otherwise, because nobody looked.
Rogoff’s read on his own firing: “When the judges appoint somebody constitutionally and statutorily, and they’re summarily dismissed without a conversation, without an examination, without any understanding of what they intend to do when they get into office, then yes, I think that firing is not appropriate and is most likely unlawful.”
He has hired a national law firm. He is considering suing. They gave a 26-year public servant 54 minutes and a form email. He’s going to give them a lawsuit.

From a cannon, and not Aileen! Use her for the wadding to make a bigger boom.
Only a moron fires people untested like felon does.
We can't use ass/u/me with him. Stop at ass.
Did you see him try to crowd himself in with the Spanish soccer players? He had to be led away, and he turned around and went back during the team photo. He was cropped out for the occicial photo. You can see his right arm in it.
Big, dumb, stupid, bumbling, fumbling oaf. With apologies to oaves.
You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony
Yes, I saw that.

Certainly not surprising. He is such a disgrace. I'm sure he heard the boos, too... but that matters not in his demented mind.
Whatever was he thinking that allowed him to actually believe that ANYONE wanted him on that stage o

that, somehow, he belonged on it???
Obviously he is an attention wh0re, but surely even attention wh0res know when they are going too far and don't belong so they don't wind up being booed and humilated? They do something outrageous alongside an event to steal focus away. They don't pretend to belong. We'll, SANE attention wh0res don't anyway.
He actually did his stupid, demented "dance" up there while
tried not to even look at him as they went through the line where he put medals on their necks. One of them said he only shook his hand because he was afraid he would be deported if he didn't!
What is weirdest is that he's clearly seen videos of himself dancing but

KEEPS doing it anyway. If he thinks his lame, stiff dance moves (dripping sarcasm) are "cool", then that's part of what's wrong with him.
As well he should. I read about this last week but totally forgot to

post about it when something even crazier that trump did crossed my path. I've since forgotten that too, since so much else has happened since.
It is nearly impossible to keep track of all of the incompetence and corruption without specifically documenting it all to review as time goes on.
Just unbelievable actually! Hopefully, someone somewhere HAS been documenting it all into some form of database that can be accessed to remove him from office and to ensure that history maintains the records so no one can EVER claim it was all some conspiracy that future generations of uneducated idiots could use to clear him.
As crazy as that seems to us, it is highly likely that someone will try, just as people throughout history have inexplicably always tried to do when opposing viewpoints showed up to question it all. There is always someone somewhere who will buy into crazy conspiracies.
Successful, competent people not wanted

That disqualified him immediately. The decision of a deranged dictator.
