MAGA found my recent video letters

Posted by Pikes Peak 14115 User icon on September 22, 2026, 6:13 pm

They are responding with the usual, predictable cowardice and slit shinging we've come to expect from MAGA.

They drive the same way. They speed, cut, weave, tailgate, and are identified by their macho vehicle with American flags and Trump stickers for adornment.

They're mad at the world, and angrier by the day.

Using MAGA logic, I doubt its existence. Have I seen it in a mirror? No. I see a reflection of it. But reflections can be faked. Did anyone ever show me a picture of it? No, but if they did, pictures can be faked.

All seriousness aside, I am not worried. MAGA are nuts, but I don't fear them. One crazed MAGA? They're all crazed. It is good to get into their heads.

Fwiw, the aspen are dull this year, and not lasting very long. Drought no doubt.

You should look at AARP dental insurance added to Medicare. My sister has it. It

costs her $63 a month for the general policy and $87 a month for premium.

Pretty sure there are others cheaper as add ons to basic Medicare?

BTW, there's a tiny mistake in video read out within the piece where you talk about the large T you bought. It shows "Taken" instead of "T taken", in case you want to fix it.

Sad situation with those aspens! Your giant Sequoia is magnificent! Will it one day overtake your entire property?

The capital T is an AI mistake You Tube added

Posted by Pikes Peak 14115 User icon on September 23, 2026, 7:42 pm, in reply to "You should look at AARP dental insurance added to Medicare. My sister has it. It "

You Tube is now captioning dialogue with AI, and it is predictably illiterate. I hope we have the option of turning this off in the future.

Here is an entirely AI generated "nature video."
Nothing in this is real. The bear, the mountains, the goats, the background noises, the narrator.
This is how good AI became, and I understand this quality is already obsolete.

I'm researching dental insurance. But $63 per month is almost unaffordable in the face of other expenses at this time.

You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony

Ahhh, I was very surprised that you'd let such a mistake stand. Now I see that

Posted by Sia User icon on September 23, 2026, 8:41 pm, in reply to "The capital T is an AI mistake You Tube added"

you didn't. That makes more sense now.

I'm guessing that there are other dental insurances that cost less. NH has very few allowed insurance companies who can do business here.

With dental, they have yearly limits on costs covered so be sure that the ratio is worth the expense. Also consider what the free services are vs the reduced price services are.

For example, checkups, cleanings, and X-rays are typically free, no charge. After 6 months, usually fillings and extractions are 50% of cost and insurance pays the rest. After a year, most add significantly reduced prices for dentures, crowns, and major services and drop fillings down to you paying only 20% of cost.

Watch the yearly limits though. If you have a ton of work done in one year, then you run out of reduced charges. So plan major dental work to start in one year and then finish after your renewal year date.

Good advice

I have no Insurance. I grew up and utilized students and charitable clinics all through my life with dental care.

A few yrs ago I opted to get full denture implants with only 15 front teeth with no molars. I could smile but not chew well teeth were wearing thin. I didn't want permanent style. I didn't want traditional gloops only.

Extraction and implants were done Feb 2020. (orthodontist surgeons only)
I couldn't find a dentist that took new clients to do cleaning to maintain the lifetime guarantee and maintenance I financed. I struggled hard to argue their agreement. I had a post fail.
As I healed to get it replaced the company changed hands/ passed patients to new ownership that didn't honor the contract. It offered discounts.

I don't have money for attorneys.

My top denture broke 3 times this year which would have been replaced automatically the first time because it was in the time frame of replacement I financed.
Yea NO!
My wife and I did it simultaneously in the beginning. Same issues now too.

Then add on the other unexpected gifts of aging and no health insurance and less access to it lands home.

Ugh. I'll stop whining I know y'all have the same $h¡† going on 2.

Is there an official club I join now besides AARP?

A Jack of all trades is master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.

Then I explained why I had misunderstood what you said and made an incorrect assumption. Seriously, it was only to clarify it because I was still unsure that I understood what you'd meant.

I feel badly now that you feel like I always try to one-up you. That has NEVER been my intention with anything I've ever said to you or anyone else. Perhaps I overshare when finding common ground? IDK?

Because I have no evil or even slightly malicious intent behind my words, especially when chatting with someone I care about, I tend to overlook how someone **could** take my words.

I know how I mean them, but I am too often clumsy in choosing words. I also figure that anyone who knows me has to know I would never diss them so they'll just ask If it's unclear or seems sketchy.

Obviously, I shouldn't assume that here where we don't know each other as well as people in our real lives do and readers can only see words, not expressions etc.

That massive hurricane that formed off Mexico's west coast and turned borth is crossing Baja and will sail up the Gulf of California into the desert southwest and against our mountains.

Last time this kind of thing happened, 1992 Hurricane Lester, the Sawatch Range got 4-7 feet of snow. That was over Labor Day weekend. Now it is cold enough up there for snow to stick and not melt.

New snow on Mt Shavano today

Thanks to the felon. And why not? With six bankruptcies in his past, it was his criminality that rose him back up each time.
It was a crime for him to run for POTUS,

They are a major credit card service to use for wxpensive dental care. Can get pet care there too.

Combined with dental insurance that reduces prices and offers the yearly maintainance stuff free, you can get it all done and pay it over time.

Poor dental health can cause all kinds of serious problems, particularly with unrecognized infections getting into your blood stream.

Will explore it.

I've been reading about possibility of felon interference after the election, ordering the House to take control and Johnson to refuse to seat elected officials, but then choose their own.
If that happens, I really think we're headed for a civil war. The public won't stand for that.

Pico Aisilado is the highest summit between Blanca and the Crestones, but is totally hidden from view because of its location. It is also the hardest Sangre de Cristo peak to climb

Most on approach to Quandary Peak. I had no idea how big they are. Saw one STEP over a deer fence. I know to keep plenty distance from a moose.
