Time’s Up, MAGA Losers. You...and Trump...are headed for a painful crash.
by Rick Wilson - Oct 28
The country you spent ten years gaslighting, attacking, and insulting is standing in line to vote, and it isn’t standing there for you.
You can feel it, can’t you? And by “you” I mean the candidates, consultants, media sycophants, and scamfluencers who’ve profited mightily from MAGA and Trump. You feel some dark headed your way. Something that spells the beginning of the end to a corrupt and crapulous era.
Oh, the corpse of the Trump Thing is still dancing, jerkily and without much joy at the ever smaller rallies, with the blown-out speakers and the Lee Greenwood and the guy in the Trump-as-Rambo shirt telling you the polls are fake. We’re still getting Trump’s late-stage coming out riffs, but in your hearts, you know the MAGA magic is dead.
You feel it later, in the quiet part of the evening, when even the Fox talking heads seem to be phoning it in, and you scroll through the early vote numbers your own party’s data people keep sending around in nervous little emails. The blamestorming in the Republican campaigns is heating up, and when the music stops, you’re worried
You feel it because you know what you did and that the bill is due.
Time’s up.
More than 21 million Americans had voted by the end of last week. In the states that report party registration, registered Democrats cast roughly 46 percent of those ballots and Republicans about 30. In North Carolina, Democrats have cast more than twice as many early ballots as Republicans. Kansas. Nebraska. Iowa. Maine. In my home state of Florida, the promised GOP early-voting surge still hasn’t materialized.
Places you put in the safe column years ago and stopped thinking about are posting numbers that should have every Republican strategist in America drinking before noon. You could lose more than two statewide seats just in Texas.
Early votes aren’t final votes, and nobody serious pretends otherwise. But you don’t need a final count to read the room. Your people aren’t showing up with the same fire.
Ours are.
That gap has a cause, and the cause is you.
So let’s talk about what you sold the country.
You promised lower prices. Day One, you said. Day One came and went, and the man you elected spent it, and every day since, doing the only thing he has ever been good at, which is enriching Donald Trump.
Gas, groceries, rent, and healthcare are all gouging the heart out of Americans, including your own base. People feel it every time they swipe a card, and every time they swipe it, they remember who promised to fix it and then wandered off to just up tariffs, build a ballroom, and sell scammy crypto meme coins.
You promised to drain the swamp. Instead you turned the federal government into a Dollar Store. Family deals (Jared Kushner is going to get whacked by his overseas sponsors, mark my word), foreign bribes, pardons for Trump’s scummy friends, investigations for enemies.
Nobody even bothers hiding the corruption anymore. It’s the Trump brand, writ large.
And then there’s Epstein, the horrible gift that keeps on giving.
For years you told everyone the elites were protecting child predators, that the files would come out, that justice was coming. Then your guy got the keys and the files were crudely, stupidly covered up. It won’t last, and the most recent revelations about Trump’s history with Epstein show Todd Blanche to be the liar we all knew he was from the start.
Stonewalling, slow-walking, redacting, changing the subject- the whole sorry routine of a movement that senses Trump wasn’t just Epstein’s friend; he was a co-abuser. That one broke something with your own voters, the ones who believed you. They won’t call to complain. They’ll just stay home.
That’s on you. Not just Trump. You.
The members of Congress who folded every time he raised his voice. The ones who knew better and voted for it anyway because they were scared of a primary and a mean Tweet at 2 a.m. The state party chairs, the talk radio guys, the pastors who traded the Gospel for a seat near the sludge buffet at Mar-a-Lago.
And yes, the voters, who heard all of it, saw all of it, and said “fine by me” because it made the right people suffer, and the right immigrant kids cry.
You thought this was permanent. You thought the coalition was locked, the maps were rigged enough, and the other side was too tired and too divided to fight. You thought you owned districts and states you had only rented.
Time’s up.
Democrats are running real campaigns in places that haven’t seen one in a decade or two. Independents, who broke your way last time because they were angry about prices, have figured out which party runs the economy now, and they’re backing Democrats 2:1 or better.
And there’s a quieter group that should scare you more than anyone: real Republicans. People who remember what the party was supposed to stand for. They aren’t posting about it. They’re voting against you, and telling nobody at church or at the golf club, but the Bannon Line is expanding by the day.
It’s too late to change course. Too late to find your spine, too late to discover you had concerns all along, too late to slide away from Trump in the final week and pretend you were never in the picture. You’re in every picture. You’re in the roll calls. You’re in the record. You rolled in his stink for a decade. You called every horror a miracle.
The country remembers.
On Tuesday you’re going to lose. Maybe not everywhere, maybe not by as much as the most excited people on our side hope, but you’re going to lose ground you swore was yours forever, and you’re going to lose it to people you’ve spent ten years calling enemies of the people.
They aren’t enemies of the people. They are the people.
It’s over, MAGA.
Time’s up.

I watched a Liz Cheney interview at Harvard, where she described the Capitol cloak room where tables with multiple state objection to certification forms were laid out, with many Republicans signing them. One was heard saying, "The things we have to do for Orange Jesus!"
That suddenly snapped a realization in my brain. I was removed from an Orange Jesus church, where the congregation was scattered in the wind.
OJ Trump is desperate to rig the 2026 Midterm election, and I suspect between now and certification day on 3 January 2027 the scope of attempts to stop and change the certification will be breathtaking in its abuse of the DoJ in search of felon-friendly judges and courts. My point is if they will stop at nothing to achieve their goal, then anything can be expected.
When we're out of this, I expect ALL these people to be held criminally and civilly complicit and liable. That includes felon friendly SCOTUS like Roberts, Thomas, Alito, Kavanaugh, Gorsuck and Barrett. God only knows how many more "Aileen Cannons" are out there sitting on benches waiting for the felon to find and use them. They're like stonefish in tide pools- invisible by camouflage until stept on.
You can look away from a painting, but you can't listen away from a symphony
Didja wind up pushed out of your S.A. church after all?
Majorette chose all the songs for the last time. The church had a corps review from DHQ and this was the total congregation, from the ~30 they inherited from our previous and much loved pastor.
I don't believe it went well.
She schooled me about music, about church music, and Christian contemporary music, the No. 1 hits... all kinds of stuff. She is clueless about the work I did to make our music possible. My guitar players don't read music and play from leads sheets. So I prepared those. Hymns and songs from TSA Songbook and Tune Book are written to accompany beginning brass players and are often in wretched tessitura for singing. I transposed them so the congregation could sing them, and the guitarists could play them. She often chose whiny, poorly written contemporary Christian music sung by "artists" using too many vocal gymnastics, while sounding like they're having orgasms. Nobody sang along. She preferred to play videos of those rather than let us do the music live, minus the orgasms. Majorette plays the tambourine and sings like an off key hinge.
Before them. one of the congregation members loved what we did so much, during one service he recorded his favorite song; Amazing Grace
I wrote the arrangement and played clarinet. We had flute, clarinet, trombone, two guitars, and bass for this tune. It was a warm, welcoming, friendly feeling.
She ran off the congregation. She talks nothing but Jesus. OCD Jesus Jesus Jesus, but is at best indifferent to people, and often mean. The social services during the week are mostly gone. After she reamed and screamed at the volunteers, they left. The Kids Closet clothing service was closed because "we don't do that. That's what thrift stores are for." The food pantry is almost bare. They do "social services" once a week for half a day. She kicked out the girl scouts, AA, and the Gold Panning Club. She made herself a pariah. Her husband does nothing to reign her in. Nobody does. She's a nasty, mean little Pakled.
Before this appointment, in another church they told the band they HAD to leave the stage before she preached and come back in to sit in the congregation. Then resume place on stage for closing numbers, and I bet she chose all the songs there too. They objected and pushed back, so she dismissed them. Then the congregation most all left.
If they were sent here to close down a church, they may have succeeded.
So I am done and moving on. I believe I know my next direction. I am at peace with it.

There are much better churches out there, I would hope anyway.
It's kind of nice to see there are some Democrat Christians running for office. The one in Kansas is Adam Hamilton running against Roger Marshall. Kansas hasn't elected a Democrat senator in like 100 years, so it is especially gratifying to see Hamilton doing so well in the polls, even slightly ahead of Marshall. And he seems like a genuinely caring Christian, too. It's just sad to see what Republicans have done to Christianity, turning it into a hateful and deceitful bunch, beholden to someone like Trump? For so many years they have acted like they have the monopoly on "Christian" values... quite the opposite, I'd say. Hamilton is from a very small town in Kansas, but is now pastor of a large Methodist church in the KC metro area. He seems like a middle of the road type of guy, but of course they are trying to paint him as an extremist "liberal" who supports illegals and transgenders/biological males playing in women's sports!" They even have an ad saying that he protects pedophiles, which isn't true of course. Marshall, on the other hand, voted to suppress the Epstein files. The irony is so rich.... how these people just outright twist and lie...
It is shocking!

Darline Graham may lose her senate bid in South Carolina. Add the other dem/rep races in play and Democrats may control the Senate 55 to 45.
The House MUST impeach trump, and this time the Senate convict and remove him.
Then the Smith indictments must be picked up and completed to trial and conviction, fines, and incarceration.
All Epstein files must be released and involved-protected people prosecuted, including Trump. Anyone and everyone complicit in keeping that information hidden should at the very least be indicted and tried for obstruction of justice.
Most of the Trump cabinet should be impeached and removed.
Every Senator and Representative complicit in the 6 Jan 2021 Insurrection should be impeached and removed from office.
The Kennedy Center board should be dissolved and a new board appointed with intent to restore the Kennedy Center to pre-trump status.
The Iran War must be ended immediately with a truce, peace deal, and if possible, restoration of the Obama agreement.
To achieve that diplomacy, the Legislature must strengthen transparency laws and create new laws so nothing and nobody like Trump can ever happen again in America.
SCOTUS must expand to every circuit is represented by ONe SCOTUS justice. America has 13 circuits.
Justice term limits must be passed into law and amended into the Constitution. Maybe a ten year term?
The US must restore relations with NATO and Canada and immediately stop all Trump tariffs. We must recommit to Ukraine and support their effort until they succeed in removing Russian occupation, to restore their country once again whole.
To restore Republican integrity, they may not oppose any of these plans. They can find different avenues to achieve them and argue those points.
The tax system must be overhauled to undo trump's protections to the upper 1% and corporations and then address reduction of the debt and deficit. If they want to relocate elsewhere, call their &^%$! bluff. They have nowhere better to go on earth.
Nationalize Space X, Starlink, and Musk's AI, because to entrust national security like that to one person is dangerous. We already saw an example when Musk and felon cut off Ukraine's access to Starlink, followed by feckless Putin missile attacks on Ukraine citizens.
Putin must be rendered inert and unable to threaten anyone. Same goes for anyone else like him.
Citizens United must be repealed.
People with dual citizenships must be ineligible to vote or participate in US elections in any way or manner.
Presidential immunity from criminal and civil prosecution must be repealed to the exact language of the US Constitution. Nobody is above the law.
