...my wife once attended a tournament in Phoenix and the temperature was supposed to be about 110 degrees when she landed. Our heat indexes here were in the same range and people told her that because it was "dry heat" she would actually be more comfortable there than here.

The tarmac temperature was actually above the 110 ambient temperature. The stewardess said to be careful walking to the terminal because of extreme heat. When she walked out she said it was difficult to catch your breath because of the heat.

Whoever said it was okay because it was dry heat should have their privates roasted in dry heat to see if it's okay.
