In a significant shift in the grocery landscape, Winn-Dixie was acquired by Aldi in 2024, but then reacquired by a consortium of investors, including Southeastern Grocers, in early 2025. Aldi is converting some of the acquired Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket locations to its own format, while Southeastern Grocers, under new ownership, will continue to operate the remaining Winn-Dixie and Harveys stores.
