The next year a part went out in the heater that wound up costing $2300 and kept the unit out of service for 3 months starting in late December because it was COVID time and they could not get the part. We heated the house with a set of unvented gas logs in the fireplace - really a Dearborn-style heater made to look like logs. We have a tall ceiling in the living room. You could turn the logs on for 30 minutes and then turn on the ceiling fan and it felt like the central heat was running as it blew hot air throughout the house.
