I put chip clips on the bag - but I will pay attention to keeping them upright when I store them.
I was just outside to consider whether I should water again and it reminds me that I have been meaning to share with you that we have quite a population of Mississippi Kites this year in this part of the state. I did some research - they eat mostly insects like dragon flies. But they have been dive bombing everyone who walks near where they nest - and this year they have taken a liking to the trees that run between us and the neighbors. According to what I read - they will migrate south for the winter BUT they will come back sometime close to May. The red eyes freak me out. And the sound they make is sharp. But they are truly a beautiful bird and I feel a bit better about it knowing they don't attack song birds.
I've been meaning to try to get a picture but the trees make it impossible to get a good zoom in on them.
