I was in Montgomery Alabama for Hurricane Dennis - pretty much a non-event.

BUT, I departed Montgomery Alabama driving through Texas to Dallas about a week before Katrina hit. I was in the process of driving from Dallas, north, back to home when evacuations began. Interesting times.
