I need a cat fogger - this little bastard will not stop stalking my birds. And did I tell you we now have five hawks hunting the area? On the up side - the other evening just after sundown (so I guess it was really night, har) my daughter and I were driving through our little town and saw a mama fox with her three little kits and they were so dayum cute. They will grow up though - and if it had not been so dusky, I could have got an award winning picture - because my daughter (the photographer) would have taken it. All in all though, I would have to say I am getting sick and tired of the viciousness of wild life.

One day all animals including man will eat grass, fruits etc. but not yet. Until then they'll eat meat. We had a huge red fox and a family of grey fox but haven't seen them in years. Too bad you couldn't get a pic of that.

I think, based on something I read, that when they are being taught to hunt, the kits are most often seen at dawn and dusk. I will see if I can nag my daughter into getting the right camera lens out to see if we can get a pic next time. The mama is a red fox...so I assume the babies are as well but it was too dark to determine fur color - however, the mama fox roams the area and has even been in my backyard. Which, was a bit un-nerving actually, worried she thought my dog was a meal. Now that the fields around me have been developed, I do not get to hear the coyotes at night anymore - so I wonder how soon the fox population will re-locate. As far as I am concerned - now is a good time to move really...even though it is stressing me out...but it is all changing here.

Just got back from washing my truck, going to the free state of Avoyelles Parish to my grandsons 15 birthday. Coyotes are a plague, eat a deer a week depending on big the pack is. They eat everything. Feral hogs are bad in this state too. You'll be fine, change is character building.

Have a wonderful time at your grandsons celebration!!! I am going to take the dog for a ride in the SUV before it gets hot hot hot. May go to the golden arches and pick up breakfast because I REFUSE to go into the kitchen this morning - too dayum hot and humid!
