I am glad to see you up and around and that you have power and are warm!

We do have sun but it isn't even 5 degrees yet.

Mercy! You're very cold. The sun is peaking out occasionally. I'll be happy when it stays out and melts some of this ice off the trees. I've left all the electrical cords in place and the generator out until I'm for sure out of the danger of limbs crashing down somewhere and the power goes out again. Perish the thought. How'd that roast in the oven turn out?

Well it is a good idea to keep the generator on standby just in case. I'll hope for it to warm up down there soon.

Okay - first I would like to state for the record that brunch went very well!!!

Ummm...the roast was left in the oven a bit too long so while it had good flavor, it was a bit dry.

I have a pound of hamburger that I have to decide what to do with it today. I will also make some kind of brunch around mid-day.

There was a dash this morning to drag the trash out (I didn't have to do it) and then some grouching about the forken mail (okay, that was me) and the garage doors are frozen shut but one side was pried open and the mail person chased down for a piece of mail (and that was successful so the yelling stopped). If my mood improves, I will wander to the kitchen eventually.

If you ask me - the trash people and the mail people should not have to be out in these temperatures - but no one called to ask me what I thought of the matter.

You can still slice that dry roast up real thing and pile mayo on the bread for a good sandwich.

Our mail still ran and today I'll be getting a delivery via Amazon. " Get out in the kitchen and rattle those pots and pan".

Better than staring and the wall.

It wasn't 5 degrees here at that time of the morning either even though we also had sun.
