Senior IRGC special unit commander killed in strikes - state media

Iranian media reported that a commander of a special unit of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps was killed in strikes on Wednesday.

They said Mohammad Ali Fathalizadeh, commander of the Fatehin special unit, was among those killed.

No further details were immediately available.

The Fatehin unit is part of the IRGC and its members receive advanced military training and have previously been deployed in conflicts such as Syria.

Defense Minister Israel Katz again threatens Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem, saying he will “pay a very heavy price” for the rocket fire on Israel.

“I have a clear message for Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of the Hezbollah terror organization: You and your associates will pay a very heavy price for the intensified fire toward Israeli civilians as they sit to celebrate the Passover Seder,” he says following an assessment with military officials.

“You will not live to see this because you will be deep in the depths of hell together with Nasrallah, Khamenei, Sinwar and all the eliminated members of the axis of evil,” Katz adds.

but one must consider the source...Israel is all about removing any 'off ramp' that Trump might use to remove the US from Iran. It was reported earlier this week that Israel will NOT put ground troops into Iran - prefer that the US do so instead.

Basically - the killing of IRGC that were involved in negotiating with the US on resolution might NOT be reason for celebration.

No one can deny that MAGA is split on this issue - again - timing is everything.

My own opinion is Epic Fury's 35 days by no means is a "forever war" and Iran has already demonstrated they will not negotiate away their zeal to develop nuclear weapons with which they intend to use to blackmail and buly the world.

33% was not a false number. There is only one of the "architects" that have not gone negative and millions listen to ALL of them. For example, recently Alex suggests it is time to cut bait. I was not a disciple of his - rarely even pay attention to him - but his words made Drudge. Drudge itself died long ago - but it is an entertaining tool to skim for a quick view of the uniparty moves.

Iran is not Arab - it is Persia. I enjoyed my history courses in college.

Last thought just sprang to mind - why are we not allowed to use our own airbases? Has this happened at any time during history? Earnest question as I have not looked it up on a reputable site - mainly because I don't know any recent reputable sites.

at times gave us difficulty. Spain, though officially neutral during WWII, was fascist and gave Germany preferences when it came to trade. They also occasionally blocked roadway access to British owned, but Supreme Allied Command used, Gibraltar. In the early 2000s Spain seemed to encourage violent protests at the US owned Rota naval base.

I was at Diego Garcia for a short time before Operation Desert Storm in 1990 and there was absolutely no problem at that time.

During 0bama's last year in office, Turkey restricted US access to our Incirlik AFB.

But mostly this has been occurring in conjunction with Britain's near takeover by the left and Islamists.

They aren't making many of us comfortable with their Greenland obstinacy. We aren't likely to get access whenever we need it. Our access will be at the whim of whatever European political winds are blowing.

My question - why are they all so afraid of Iran? Or is it something else?

Remember MAD? Maybe they don't play that way in the sand - but regardless, those ancient cultures have to be weighed in, don't they?

I just saw a History Channel program in mind control so I may not be the best witness but it's obvious that since the 1960s there have been education problems in the west along with a diminution of Christianity along with a resurgence of a militant Islam. Sleeper cells exist. Terrorists do drive throughs of New Orleans, Manhattan, London, Barcelona, Nice, and Berlin, but that's not really it.

France pulled out of Algeria, Nasser expelled the UK, Our ally the Shah Reza Pahlavi was deposed and his pro-Western government replaced and the US Airbase in Tehran closed. Terrorists demolished the once tallest buildings in the world with our own aircraft and Biden fouled up at Abby Gate. And the only outrage has been against those demanding we defend ourselves. Many can't even tolerate $4/gallon gasoline to avert nuclear holocaust.
