Amazon sells freeze drier machines. The end product requires no refrigeration.

Off topic but I have some questions to ask.

Do you pickle the cucumbers from your garden in a Dill pickling? I think I've seen a couple of your pics' of them here that were Dill. If so, do you use white or apple cider vinegar? Do you add red pepper flakes and do you use pickling salt or Kosher?

I want to give it a try but the options are endless so I wanted to compare with yours. I've done Bread and Butter ones (long ago) but never Dill. I'd very much appreciate any advice you have to offer.

I've tried lots of recipes but for me it's easier buying the store bought pickling flavors. That being said, I like slicing the cukes up and sprinkling them with ranch seasoning or salt and vinegar seasoning and then dehydrate them. Cuke Chips.

Thanks. The dehydrated pickle chips sound good but I want to try the pickling method for now. I'll look for the store bought flavors on my trip to get what I don't already have.
