Hey, Folks.... Just thought I'd drop by and let you know I'm still above ground.. Although, it's not looking real good. On top of the Stage-4 cancer, I now have heart issues. I had a heart attack a few months ago and they decided to put 4 stents in my main artery instead of risking open-heart surgery.
Anyway, it's nice to see you guys still posting back and forth. I sure miss some of the old posters - like Undergrad (UG). He was quite a guy. Very intelligent and always congenial. Not many of you remember Packy (who Grumpy always called "Pacobell"). Packy was also was very smart. He told me once that Undergrad was a professor at some college back east (George Washington Univ?). He also told me that UG served as a Captain with some Artillery unit in Nam (something he said he learned from SCULLY).
I always got a kick out of UG's infatuation with Stevie Nicks. I have to admit, she was a hot little number!
Packy served with the 1st Cav when they fought the NVA in the la Drang Valley in '65. (Remember the movie, "We Were Soldiers"?)
By the way, I see Hot Lips Houlihan is still posting... Hi Dara. ;-)
Anyway, I hope all you guys are doing well, I'll see you again sometime.

I'm not sure what moniker you used to use, but I'm glad you're doing well at 75.. l'm 80, and if it wasn't for Uncle Sam sticking $500 worth of meds in me every day, I would have been gone 5 years ago.

You made something for me once - and gave me a nickname - (and it wasn't "hot lips") but the last time you dropped by the boards you said you didn't remember.

...and so many are gone now.

I shudder when I hear 'Stage 4' cuz I lost my Baby Sister in December to Pancreatic cancer that went to her Liver, or maybe vice versa. In 10 months she was gone.

LOL... Dara, do you remember that attorney guy from N'Awlins who you thought was stalking you? I can't remember his name offhand, but you were certain he was messing with you... Btw, I was the one that let you posters on that MSNBC board that MSNBC was going to shut the boards down. I told you guys to come over to the MSNBC board that we were posing at. Then, about a week later they shut our board down, too. But fortunately WD and KR*= had started a new board for us by that time, and we all went over there... Good seeing you again, girl

it was the dude up in Northern Cali that wanted to put everyone in the wood chipper. Turns out he wasn't stalking...he was just an asshole to everyone. 😁 And there were a couple other crazies that floated through Zenboard and the early days of Salt. But then I departed on sabbatical so I don't know who else you might be referring to.

And yes I remember the poster that said he was an attorney and he was a friend. (but then again, JD was also an attorney).

was I recall two attorneys...and one of them was JD - on the east coast - and he also provided one of the three boards we all moved to from MSNBC.

Oh I doubt 'hots' were involved - we just all had a well developed sense of humor back in those days. And, of course, the fog of war.
