Nothing else I know of apart from the Radio Today news items which I would think is reliable.
Lots of speculation on Digital Spy about whether Absolute will have a retune loop, the Radio Today news item said Absolute would be closing on the 30th which implies there will be , also on whether the transmitters would all be switched off at the same time.
Adam Bowie in a blog post said Absolute Radio wanted to switch off AM some years ago but didn't as Arqiva gave them a very good deal on maintaining the network. Also gives figures on AM audiences to national networks both reach and share.

Posters on Digital Spy say at the moment Ofcom are required to advertise the vacant national AM licence but there's no timescale on that and the requirement is expected to change when amendments to or a new Broadcasting Act is passed later this year or next.
Asked Mike Balaclava if he had any more information and he said no.
