This was the same day that programme tapes were recorded at Recorded Sound studios (Bryanston Street) with Hugh Nolan presenting for two hours and Terry Yason for two hours, with myself at the turntables.
The tapes were the first play on air of a recorded programme (as Radio 428) on 16 November 1969, rather than a Radio Andorra DJ in test transmissions previously.
I have mentioned this before elsewhere. When I worked in Marylebone High Street I visited their offices in Harley Street several times at lunch time, before they even transmitted. It was a great station. I had a call from Ronan asking if I had a contact number for the chaps there. I think Ronan got the number from Jim Coad,RIP, as I used to visit his home and talk radio, and even did a show for Radio Free Caroline. I gave it to him and then they popped up on Radio Seagull.
